LIFE AS WE KNEW IT by Susan Beth PfefferJust terrific! I thoroughly enjoyed this apocalyptic teen novel, even as it scared the crap out of me. An asteroid hits the moon, and all hell breaks loose. Sixteen year old Miranda keeps a daily journal, documenting the dire decline and collapse of her family’s way of life, over the course of almost a year following the celestial disaster. It’s all chillingly plausible. Definitely makes me want to put in a wood stove, and finally make myself learn how to grow vegetables.
